Chief Ezekiel Atanda Agboola, Osi Mayegun of Ibadanland
The Mafoya Oluwa Mbe Foundation was established in memory of Chief Ezekiel Atanda Agboola, the Osi Mayegun of Ibadanland, affectionately remembered as Baba Mafoya. Every business and undertaking of his life was built on a single scriptural promise, and that promise remains the foundation upon which his family continues his work today.
The foundation is led by his son, Oloye Olusegun Agboola, Mogaji of the Abiolu family at Oke-Offa Atipe, Ibadan. What began as informal family gatherings in his father's honour has grown into a structured foundation reaching health, education, mentoring, and empowerment across Ibadanland.
Every initiative the foundation carries out falls under one of four commitments, each addressing a real and pressing need in Ibadanland.
Community health outreaches offering dental care, optical screening, anti-malarial treatment, and blood screening, in partnership with the Jason Foundation at UCH Ibadan for HIV referral and support.
Advocacy for practical, hands-on learning reform across Nigeria's classrooms, and direct engagement with Oyo State's out-of-school children crisis, among the highest in the Southwest.
A coming mentoring programme for disengaged inner-city youth, using chess, scrabble, literary study, and debate to redirect young minds toward education and productive living.
Scholarships and support for the children of mothers already working to provide for their families, helping those who help themselves go further, not starting from nothing.
From dental clinics and eye screenings to scholarship cheques placed directly in the hands of school administrators, the foundation's work stays close to the ground, in the same streets and compounds where Baba Mafoya lived and built his name.

A serial entrepreneur whose career bridges biological sciences, ICT, and geospatial intelligence, Oloye Olusegun Agboola completed a Law degree at the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, graduating with First Class honours.
As Mogaji, he carries forward his father's legacy while advocating for a new model of traditional leadership, one anchored in love, accountability, and service to community.
Real leadership needs no force. Love alone is enough to accomplish what matters. Power only becomes necessary when the aim is to cause harm.
